Metal Shop Orientation: sheet metal

In this orientation to the metal shop, each student will build a handy tool caddy while learning the primary sheet metal handling tools at the shop.

This course will cover all of the basic sheet metal tools and techniques:  design and layout the project, cut metal to size using the jump shear, form the tray using a sheet metal brake. Learn to rivet as you attach the handle.  No experience required.   No experience is needed to take this class.

Completion of this orientation-level class will enable current CIF members to use the shop sheet metal forming equipment. Please no open-toed shoes to this class.
