Jewelry Lab Orientation B - Soldering Tools

Learn how to solder jewelry and further your jewelry-making skills! This class will clear you on the Idea Foundry soldering tools!

Minors welcome but a parent/guardian must be present during class

Completion of Jewelry Lab Orientation - Bench Tools class is required.

Students will learn about the solder we use in jewelry-making, the proper use of torches, metals and annealing, and different soldering techniques. The students are encouraged to bring the pieces from the Jewelry Bench Orientation class but students will make a simple sterling silver ring using materials provided. 

At the end of this class students will be signed off on the jewelry soldering station and tools.  

What to wear:

Closed-toed shoes, long sleeved shirts, natural fibers (cotton, denim, linen), long hair pulled back and eye protection (provided).

Lee has been working in jewelry making and repair for over 20 years. He has taught many jewelry classes for students of all ages from novice to professionals.
