The Idea Foundry has always been fond of having fun but this time around we are taking it to a truly professional level. Karla Ross is here to see that through as our Event's Coordinator. Her dynamic background in events and personal passion for organizing creative endeavors puts her in the perfect position to level up the Idea Foundry events hustle! You'll see her touring new clients and keeping a careful eye on every third-party event in our space.

Meet Karla...

Q. Why do you do what you do?

I love learning, helping people in various capacities, and opportunities to be creative. Finding unique and satisfying ways to address challenges keeps me excited about the work I do. The Idea Foundry's dynamic community is incredibly appealing for the numerous ways we may discover our skills and gifts can work together.

Q. What's the best advice you've ever received?

The best advice I've ever received is probably "Pick your battles." Learning to let go of things beyond my control or which are not productive is truly liberating.

Q. Tell us something you're proud of...

I am most proud of my two wonderful children, ages 21 and 18, who have grown to embody the values I set out to teach them. Their compassion, kindness and hunger for learning never cease to amaze me. I am grateful for the privilege of being their mom.

Q. List 5 things you LOVE.

Hmmm. I love the ocean, watching movies, art, laughing, and hanging out in PJ's as often as possible.

Q. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Someday, if I can be said to have finally grown up, my goal is simply to be a good, kind and caring person. I've arrived at a place in my life where my curiosity about future adventures and surprises has been renewed. Perhaps one day I will even have gathered enough helpful knowledge or wit to share by writing a book.
