Leather working: Medium Bag

In this class students will make a leather bag with a pattern that will be provided to them.  Students will pick out and cut their own leather as well as selecting straps and hardware to personalize their bag.
Students will learn basic skills including pattern layout, cutting, using drive punches to punch holes, lacing construction, and setting rivets, buckles, and closures. Students will use a rawhide or nylon mallet with drive punches, use their hands for lacing.

Some experience with cutting and hand tools preferred.
