Intro to TinkerCAD

Intro to TinkerCAD

Create and print your first 3D design using Tinkercad, a free online CAD program.

In this class, students will learn how to create their first 3D design using the free Tinkercad program. Tinkercad is used by designers, hobbyists, teachers, and kids to make toys, prototypes, home decor, models, jewelry, and more! We will learn the basic skills of CAD and create a customized keyring that will be printed on the 3D printer for you to take home. Students will then learn how to draw, build, and create their own custom designs and ideas using various CAD tools in Tinkercad.

Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop and 3-button mouse for the best experience. Please RSVP if you would like to borrow our equipment for the class. Each student will sign up for a free Tinkercad account to save their work and designs.

Computer literacy is expected, but CAD/CAM experience is not required.
